Overview

The Mitchell MD300 features a carved top, double cutaway, basswood body and a one-piece, bolt-on maple neck, offering outstanding resonance and articulation. For a more advanced, modern sound, there's a rail-style ceramic humbucker in the bridge and a mini-rail Alnico V humbucker in the neck position. They both provide a more consistent magnetic pull versus standard pole pieces, which enhances overall tone and sustain. It also allows for additional picking room for advanced players while also expanding the visual beauty of the guitar top. The string-thru body design increases sustain even further, and high-ratio locking tuning machines make precise tuning easy.

Before delivery to our dealers, all Mitchell electric guitars receive a complete stateside setup and quality control inspection to ensure exceptional playability. Available in Walnut Satin (WS), Black (BK) and Blood Red (BR). Case sold separately.

MD300 Features
• Modern carved basswood double-cutaway body and a maple neck with rosewood fretboard
• H/mini-H pickup configuration with paraffin-dipped, rail-style Alnico V pickups to reduce microphonics and unwanted feedback while mitigating tonal dropouts
• Deep Bevel Cutaway (DBC) design allows for complete fretboard access
• String-through body design and traditional, adjustable TOM-style bridge for outstanding sustain and solid intonation
• Locking tuning machines and Graph Tech TUSQ XL reduced-friction nut enhance tuning stability
• High-tensile strength fretwire for durability and smooth playability

Comments about Mitchell MD300 Modern Rock Double Cutaway Electric Guitar:

I have had this guitar for a week now purchased it new and could not be happier. This is an all out rocker and more, it sounds crisp and gritty with no muddy-ness (I mainly use the humbucker). Feels and plays smooth, its very comfortable in my hands. I traded in an Ibanez to get this and have no regrets. If you have the opportunity try this one out.

Comments about Mitchell MD300 Modern Rock Double Cutaway Electric Guitar:

Picked up one of these on an amazing deal. This thing rips! The pickups sound great, and the guitar itself feels pretty good. I was originally going to just salvage parts for other projects, but I wound up liking this guitar too much to do that.

Comments about Mitchell MD300 Modern Rock Double Cutaway Electric Guitar:

I've beven playing guitar for about 18 years now and I own 17 guitars. This seems to be a great guitar for a beginner or and upgrade from a beginner guitar. I will say that they are not all setup the same so go to a store and play a few of them. With that being said, the one I purchased has great action and great tones for rock and metal. The coil tap is great for when you want the thinner sound of a single coil. I was pleasantly surprised at the neck pickup. Its got this amazingly warm buttery smooth tone. The humbucker seems to lack a little in the bite department but it gets the job done for now. Overall it's a great guitar. If you haven't tried one out, do yourself a favor and run down to you local GC and try one out!

        Very Nice Product

        By Mr.Plumber

Comments about Mitchell MD300 Modern Rock Double Cutaway Electric Guitar:

For someone that has only been playing a year, this guitar is far above my abilities. Tunes very easy, stays in tune great. Tones are great for rock. I visited several locations prior to my purchase. I found that the set up varies greatly from one guitar to the other. Luckily I found one that had a very low set up without any buzz at all. Going from a very cheap starter guitar to a mid grade makes a huge difference in the quality of sound. Probably the only thing I don't like is the plug in. Its angled up, Just thought that was a little odd. Overall good buy.
