  • Great Look

As reviewed by Trevor on 6/26/2008

This is the first "real" Ukulele I ever played. I was initially skeptical about the quality especially as to whether or not it would stay in tune. The first few times I tuned it, it was out of tune within a couple hours or so. But after a few days it held a tune well and is now one of my favorite instruments to play. It feels great, looks great, and sounds great. It's nice to have something so portable as well.

  • Total dissapointment

As reviewed by Roland Montalban on 8/29/2011

This is after purchasing the MU-70 first, exchanged that to the MU-100, a total disappointment. On both models, the saddle sinks into the bridge on the #1 string after tuning the instrument. Maybe it is designed that way but other ukes I have checked out does not do that. The biggest flaw is the metal on the fret board, the first 5 fret steel are not filed down to smoothness, they are sharp. Sharp enough that it catches the finger flesh when playing. This is true on both models. The upside, both models have good resonance.

  • Wonderful but a little soft

As reviewed by Logan Self on 12/26/2010

I have had this uke for nearly a year now and I am thrilled with it! It is beautiful with the laminate koa wood, it sounds great, and it is comfortable to play. The frets are not too small so it is easier to play chords that are not bar chords. The tuning at first is incredibly loose but after a few weeks of playing it tightens up pretty well. My only complaint is that the sound is not as loud and doesn't resonate as well as I would like. But for the value of this instrument you definitely get your bang for your buck!
