The A-style Mitchell MM100VS Mandolin offers visual brilliance and quality craftsmanship in a striking package. The MM100VS mandolin is equipped with a solid spruce top and mahogany back and sides for clarity, balanced high-end tone, and full projection to stand out in the jam.

The A-style body design has a fuller and more pronounced tone than traditional F-style mandolins, to sound great chopping bluegrass rhythms and melodic leads. The 14" scale, 20 frets, and easy action makes for smooth and intricate fret movements; and the mandolin's rosewood bridge and fretboard produce clarity and plenty of sustain.

The Mitchell MM100VS mandolin boasts a Vintage Sunburst finish, abalone inlays, white binding, and gold hardware that ensure you'll be noticed on stage or wherever your playing takes you.

  • Great Mandolin

    Has a great sound and quality build. I played a couple at the store today and the Mitchell just has this great pure sound. The tuning keys are a little dull but the mandolin is wonderfull!

  • A decent beginner Mandolin..

    This mandolin is a decent, but great piece of art. I bought this mandolin because I was getting tired of the same old guitar, and I wanted to move on to a more folk, traditional sound. This mandolin fit all of my needs. The only reason why I wouldn't rate this a whole 5 stars, is that the tuning knobs are quite dull and cause the mandolin to fall out of tune quickly (which gets quite irritating to be honest!). Other than that, it's great!

    Excellent instrument overall. There are some slight problems with buzzing on the second string (very slight) but otherwise wonderfully twangy up high and mellow and round down low.
