  • A Great Guitar for a Budget or a Beginner

As reviewed by Michael Simmons on 1/30/2009

The Mitchell MD100S Dreadnought is a great guitar for a beginner,a hobbyist, or someone looking for a cheap, kick-around instrument with a great tone. I'm primarily an electric player, but I found no problem playing this guitar within a few hours. For the price, you get a lot of great tone and volume, and looks to boot.

  • Mitchell MD 100s

As reviewed by eric on 10/31/2010

I purchased online on a whim. I needed something to kick around the house. Something i could just pick up and work some thoughts out. All my guitars are electric. I just wanted something easy. It was delivered to work and once rec'd i plucked away and was not thrilled. I went out at lunch and new strings helped, the originals were hammered. Brought it home and let it settle down. My opinion ha scontinued to improve each time i play! It has a smallish sound that works best in .. say my living room but the tone is very well sorted from high to lows. clear too. Plays easily and rewarding. Not a banger though. A good looker for a less expensive guitar. My buddy who plays a nice Martin was impressed. I am pleased. a very good value at the sale price

  • Outstanding Guitar for the Price

As reviewed by Linda on 2/11/2008

We bought this guitar last February for our son as a beginner guitar. We thought it would be a great guitar for a beginner. Little did we know how great it was! The sound is just as good as the higher priced guitars! So much so, my husband has been coveting it for a year now. The kids and I decided to get him one for his birthday so he will stop taking my son's guitar! An outstanding guitar for the price! We are very pleased with it; and it stills sounds just as good as it did on day one. We would highly recommend it!
