this is a mass produced item

The tone of this instrument was pretty good. Up and down the neck it was harmonically correct. The finish work was not very good. There was fuzz all over it from the lacquer work. Mine came with a broken battery case. The pickup had a low hum. I suspect that it was a ground problem or electronics, anyway it should not have arrived to me the way it did. I could stop the noise by touching the plug jack. I thought about tethering a wire from the jack to my flesh to stop the noise.
