Slippery and stylish.

From the intricate vine-style inlay carefully made from real pearl and abalone to the resonant body crafted from luxurious quilted maple, the limited-edition Dragonfly 4-String Fretless bass delivers a unique and elegant look. The all-maple body produces amazing attack and cut with great acoustic projection. The Fishman MKAB amplification system has a 3-band EQ optimized for acoustic bass and a bridge saddle pickup that provides great string-to-string balance. The unlined fretboard has side dots located where they would be on a standard fretted bass and additional small and unobtrusive dots on the top clearly marking the fret position. The Dragonfly is the latest in a line of successful Michael Kelly-designed limited-edition acoustic basses.

Awsome Bass

If you are looking for an acoustic electric, this is by far the best one out there. Great fretless tone. The preamp offers a wide range of different sounds. The inlays on the neck look great too. The ONLY thing that I had a problem with was on the B on the D string, when fingered, the string is completely on the inlay, not the wood of the neck. It causes a little buzzing, but no huge problem. Great Bass.

I wish I could Afford it

If only I could afford this baby! It is a little harder to understand than a fretted bass, but the lack of frets makes it easier to play for me at least. The tone is nothing short of spectacular, and the shape of the body just feels "right." I can stand with it, sit down, kneel, whatever, and it doesn't feel awkward. The inlay is beautiful, and allows for fret placement reference. I will end up buying one the minute I can afford it, but for now, I can only dream.
