Top-notch materials and craftsmanship result in big sound and sweet looks!

The Michael Kelly Bayou Resonator has a traditional internal soundwell. This multi-ply maple sound well is carefully installed and crafted for increased vibration and volume. The soundwell is topped off with a hand spun aluminum cone by J.P. Quarterman-the same Quarterman cone used in virtually every highly sought-after vintage resonator. Michael Kelly continues its focus on sound with carefully selected woods, sound port positioning and craftsmanship. Besides sounding amazing the Bayou Resonator has a distinctive appearance.

NEW REVIEW - Michael Kelly Bayou Resophonic guitar

This is a standard design dobro. Mine is built like a tank.I think it has been made with high quality components, kinda like a car is on an assembly line. The wood is good, the finish is fine and the cone resonates when you cough in the same room.It is missing that extra something you can only get from an instrument built by one pair of hands though. Those kind of guitars cost alot more though, so over all, I think I got a good dobro for the money.
