Stellar instrument

By Dustin

from Cedar Rapids, IA

Comments about Meinl Foot Cabasa:

This cabasa is heavy duty and adds the perfect compliment to acoustic playing, be it on a cajon or playing guitar. You have lots of volume control and can set it to shake on down step or boht down step and recoil. If you are looking for a little something to fill in that acoustic sound, this is perfect.

Worth the money.

By BRANDON DEBALSI

from Birmingham, AL

Comments about Meinl Foot Cabasa:

At first, I wondered why something like this would cost as much as it does, but as soon as I got it, I found out why. It is incredibly versatile and well-built. Bolt on it can be tightened for recoil shakes and loosed for non-recoil shakes. It comes with all of the tools needed to adjust and maintain it on the frame of the instrument, which cuts down on bulk of its package considerably. All-in-all, a worthwhile purchase for any percussionist.

  • Highly Priced
  • Poorly Made

Best Uses

Comments about Meinl Foot Cabasa:

This Foot Cabasa sounds nice. You can use it to keep a rhythmic pattern with your foot, while playing any type of drums and other instruments. The problem is that the springs lack a little tension and can't be adjusted. I ended up purchasing tighter springs. The main frame for the Cabasa comes loose after 5 minutes of continuous playing, every time. In my opinion, it is too expensive for what you get, but if you can spare the money, it's a nice toy.

    Comments about Meinl Foot Cabasa:

While playing the Cajon, what better addition then the smooth roll of the Casaba? It's excellent percussion, and add a hand cymbal for splash, and the groove is yours to keep!
