The Byzance Dark Stadium Ride delivers powerful exclamation from the bell, yet you can crash it, swing on it, and pull many other sounds out of it as well. Its lightweight design, dark finish top, and lathed bottom creates a smooth wash with a buttery feeling, while its big-sized heavy bell produces a pingy and penetrating sound.

I've been using this ride for about a month now and love it so much. I use it for jazz, rock & punk all mixed together in the same band. It is a really dynamic cymbal: Dry yet full sound for jazz riding, is a powerful crash in rock settings (if using a mic for recording, keep some distance from this cymbal if you crash it a lot), has a gorgeous-sounding bell that really cuts if you wail on it, it sounds really rich when using brushes and has the incredible wobble on the edges that's hypnotizing to watch. Since the top is hammered, it sounds just a little different each place I strike it, which is awesome if you're swinging and alternating your strike point with each swing. It has a long sustain and really sizzles nicely when I put a small ball chain on it. It's a little hard to get it to sing when I use a violin bow on it, but once I do, it has a low "screeeeee" that sounds incredible. This cymbal looks gorgeous and plays amazingly.
I got this ride about a year ago and I could not be more impressed. This is one of the most veratile rides I've ever played. It handles jazz and swing no problem and it's also amazing for heavier music, which is what I mainly play. The bell on this ride is awesome. It's huge for one, and it has a warm cutting tone that's great for rock. This cymbal has a lot of sustain and is great for crashing, and I love the overall look. If you want a veratile ride, this is it!
