Overview

The Meinl Percussion Dual Snare Cajon is equipped with two fixed snare systems that add a crisp "sizzle" effect to your slap tones. The all-birch construction, common for studio acoustic drums, contributes to the attack of the slap tones. The birch construction is also what produces the resonant bass sound that gives you that "boom" tone when you play in the center of the face plate.

This cajon is easy to play and carry. It requires no musical training to begin. Just sit down and have fun. Of course, the light brown finish has the classic Cajon look. The bottom of the Cajon is equipped with no slip rubber feet.

It is good for the price

By JEFFREY HAYES

from Ontario, Canada

Comments about Meinl Birch Headliner Cajon:

I gave this Cajon 3 stars based on price and performance. You have to understand that this item is not top-of-the-line. It is an entry-level Cajon and is not adjustable. But if you are just learning to play, or you want to use it to add some light rhythm for your small acoustic group at a block party or a small gig, this drum will more than do the job. I had a $15-off coupon I received online, so for $85 I think this Cajon is a bargain. But if you are a serious player planning on doing a lot of gigs in public, spend the $200 it will take to get a better drum. But for $85, this drum did not disappoint me.

O.K.

By Tim Padgett

from Great Falls, MT

Comments about Meinl Birch Headliner Cajon:

I went with this one because the sales rep talked me into it because of price. It's O.K. for my kids to bang on. I went to a local store and played on some higher priced ones after I got this one. You get what you pay for. This model is the lower end and it sounds like.
