I rehearse 6 days each week and crash these cymbals for hours each session. Not only do they sound great, but very durable too. The crash has a very clean tone even when being used constantly when driving the music.
I have recently switched all of my cymbals to the Meinl line. I mostly play the Generation X series as I am replicating programmed sounds with my band. I thought I would try one of the MB10's as I needed a more traditional crash for certain accents. This is exactly the sound that I was after; bright, quick, and very explosive for a 14" crash. The Meinls seem to have a softer feel, probably given the difference in alloy from other makers. I love how it feels like you play into them. I know that most players in the U.S. are still unfamiliar with Meinl but they owe it to themselves to check 'em out.
I got the 18' and I am planning to get the 19' as soon as possible this crash is insane I was first planning to get the a customs but I came across this and fell in love with the sound and the brilliance of the look of the cymbal seriously there is no other crash to please my needs as a drummer as much as this one does it has a dark rich tone that is perfect for rock metal jazz or anything!! AMAZINGGG!!!!!!
