The Meinl HCS Crash Ride Cymbal articulates a clean stick response with a full-bodied and warm sound with a washy ping and a complex spread. Explosive sound when played as a crash.
I bought this Crash/Ride to round out my set of MEINL HCS cymbals. I have the HCS 14" Hi-Hat, the HCS 16" Crash and the HCS 20" Ride. My instructor said they were great sounding and really good for practice and good enough for performing. What could be better for the student than inexpensive, great sounding cymbals. MEINL HCS cymbals rock!

It is a explosive crash but not as good being played as ride but it is still a good ride also.

I was looking for a crash/ride cymbal and i came across this cymbal. It's sound is great and it's for an amazing price!

this is my first buy from Mienl, and it will not be my last. this cymbal is great, with kind of a china sound when tilted, the ride is ok, but the crash is probably what it was made for, despite it being a crash/ride. VERY EXPLOSIVE and loud sound, but not too loud so it's unbearable. I will probably get the rest of the Mienl HCS series, the Splash and the Ride probably, but you will not be disappointed with this Crash/Ride!
