The HCS Crash Cymbal has a smooth attack with a medium sustain.
This is a very good cymbal and i use it with my set or when i play in the garage or just practicing. i would assure you that you will not be let down by this cymbal

I love this crash cymbal! First off its loud but not to the point of overpowering anybody in my band. If played with 16th notes it can give a pretty good wash. The only down side to it is that it you are a heavy hitter like me, itll tend to be bent out of shape after relentless playing. Mine bent in about 5-6 months which is great for what i paid for it and the enitre hcs new begginer pack. If you dont want to break a budget but are looking for an outstanding crash, this is the one for you.

This is a very good cymbal it is worth the price of the 16". Though it does get scratched quite a bit from playing metal. Just get cymbal cleaner. It has quite like a china sound which is great sooooo get it!!!

I got this cymbal in a set for my first drumset. It still hasn't cracked and I've played around 50 concerts with it. So in that respect it's good. My only problem is that it is too thin. That's just my personal preference. The tone is too high. So I'm looking to get a higher-end Meinl because I still like the company very much.

I bought this 16" crash cymbal and along with the MEINL HCS 14" Hi-Hat, the HCS 18" Crash/Ride and the HCS 20" Ride, MEINL HCS make up my cymbal set. I am a beginner, however, my instructor said they were great sounding and really good for a student and for practice, and good enough for performing. Inexpensive and great sounding? What could be better? If you are a student and want great sounding cymbals for good price, these are the cymbals for you.

This cymbal is a great price....however, you literally get what you pay for....It is cheaply made, and has a very cheap sound...No resonance, no explosive-ness off of the stick... I would not buy this cymbal every again, nor any cymbal from this brand
