Comments about Martin Standard Series OMC-35E Orchestra Model Acoustic-Electric Guitar:
I play professionally. Live and recordings. This is the one. I can't get over it.
OMC is a smaller body, but the sound of out this box is so fine. Nothing too sharp, and nothing missing in the midrange or bottom end. It does not push out volume like a Dreadnought or Grand Aud/Orch, but has a fullness that still boggles my mind and soul. Every time I pick it up I expect to hear something lacking, like I can't believe how nice is sounds, but every playing experience is so satisfying. I looked around at a great many Martins, Taylors and Gibsons. I've played a lot of beautiful guitars, but the OMC-35E sounds as full and plays as nice as any guitar I have ever picked up.
It is expensive, but guitars in lower price ranges just don't match up. No matter how much you try to convince yourself, which I am guilty of, the OMC-35E is just better.
If you are in the market for a high-end guitar, do not pass this one up.
