The Martin OM-21 Acoustic Guitar offers top-notch, hand-built craftsmanship. Based on time-tested luthier approaches, coupled with new technological breakthroughs the result is a Martin guitar of premiere construction and design. The OM-21 is built on the OM platform, a guitar body style that presents strong lower midranges and versatile dynamics. With a smaller length, depth and waist than the standard dreadnought body type, Martin's OM-21 guitar is becoming more popular in the acoustic and fingerstyle realm.
The OM-21 guitar boasts a rosewood body, offering warm, rich tone. The Sitka spruce top continues this quality with great balance between the bass, midrange, and treble. The dovetail neck joint keeps the traditional binding methods intact, while the Rosewood fretboard and bridge bring out tremendously clear sustain. A low-profile neck shape, offers comfort and accessibility when dancing across the fretbard's 20 frets. Gotoh tuners offer precise tuning and keep the OM-21 in key consistently and accurately. Dressed with chrome hardware and covered in a nitro finish, the OM-21 acoustic guitar will become an instant favorite. Martin includes a case with the OM-21.
Since 1833, C. F. Martin & Co. has been a permanent part of the American experience, and is heralded as one of the oldest, most respected, most innovative guitar companies in American history. Blending hand craftsmanship with state-of-the-art technology, Martin guitars remain unsurpassed in quality, tone, playability and enduring value.
At the same time, Martin still brings a great deal of hand craftsmanship to every step of the building process. Today's Martin guitars are a unique product of the latest technology and the human touch, which is how it has always been. Even our founder, C. F. Martin, Sr., continually sought ways to build more and better guitars to meet the needs of his customers. In an age of change and intense competition, C. F. Martin remains America's leading guitar builder for a very basic reason: They're still in tune with what players want and the quality they expect.

After reading online guitar forums and putting too many miles on my car in search of THE guitar, I dropped by Guitar Center-Cincinnati, just to look, haha. I played and played because the room acoustics were unbelievable and then Jerry Clutter was very knowledgable and helpful with the purchase of my new OM-21. I also have an HD-35 that I enjoy playing, but I'm loving the smaller OM-21 body size, the wider neck width, and it's one of the few guitars that feels like it sings in my hands.
After trying a few D-28's and HD-28's that I was underwhelmed with I heard a OM-21 at a local bluegrass jam. The sound was amazing and the OM/GA size body is far more comfortable for me. I ordered one for pick-up at my local GC (very few shops carry these and I like to put my own scratches in a new guitar and didn't want it sitting in the freezing cold on my porch while not home). Brought it home, unpacked it, let it humidify and acclimate for a day, and was blown away. Gorgeous mids/trebles with plenty of fatness in the bass. Warm yet precise, and the 1 3/4 nut and wider string spacing is perfect for finger picking. The action was perfect, neck needed no adjustment, and the finish was flawless. Closing in on the Eric Clapton or John Mayer models at half the (street) price. Not fancy appointments - all sound no fluff.
