Bigger than its size or price!

By Bill

Comments about Martin S-O Soprano Ukulele:

I go to sea for a living and spend a good deal of time crossing the world's oceans. I've played guitar for about 10 years, and used to bring one with me, but it became too much to carry with all of my gear. Then I stumbled onto the Martin S-O uke. I'm in love. Extremely portable, and an absolute joy to play. The sound is incredible for such an affordable instrument. It's so much fun to play, that I hardly touch my guitar when I'm home (which is also a Martin). I've seen guys onboard ship who play guitar, look at the uke and think its a toy. Then once they've played it, they're constantly asking to borrow it. Killer travel instrument. I highly recommend it. The open ocean never sounded better.

Great uku for the money!

By Robbo

Comments about Martin S-O Soprano Ukulele:

Highly recommended for those who don't want a toy and don't want to spend $900 on a real Hawaiian uku. It does have friction-style tuners, useful information which SHOULD have been in the item description but was omitted. They are a bit trickier to dial in than the die-cast tuners found on most guitars, but once the strings stretch out, the uku stays in tune pretty well. Very big tone for a soprano. The gig bag is a nice inclusion. Aloha!

Great Uke

By manuel canepa

Comments about Martin S-O Soprano Ukulele:

Well i own this uke and it is pretty cool, the looks are awesome. The sound is very clear and loud actually, very well made. Its mexican and it is ensambled with friction tuners.I am very happy with this uke. The thing is that you have to try it first, because that is the only way you will fell in love with this instrument. I dont think it is very expensive. I believe that is a very elegant instrument (The finish) and it is an instrument that you will have a special affection further. I also believe in buy good lasting stuff rather than cheap low quality stuff. Well its my opinion. Hope someone find this helpful
