Very nice

Comments about Martin Performing Artist Series DCPA4 Shaded Top Cutaway Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I've been playing guitar for over 40 years. I wanted to add an acoustic electric to my collection that sounds great and wouldn't worry about banging it around. This fits the bill. Great set up out of the box, although I had the saddle lowered slightly. Was slightly concerned about the "bear claw" in the spruce on top, but I was much more concerned with the sound.

All in all I'm very happy with this purchase.

Comments about Martin Performing Artist Series DCPA4 Shaded Top Cutaway Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

This is the first Martin I have owned and I am pleased. It has a great sound. You get what you pay for when buying a guitar and this was a very nice buy. I went to a bunch of music stores to try guitars out but nobody had Martin's so I tried a few Taylor's, Takamine, and a few others like Yamaha so I didn't know how the guitar was going to feel or sound when I ordered it. I was a little concerned about the neck width when it showed up from UPS, but after playing it for a while, all doubts I had about it quickly disappeared. I love it now. The built in tuner is ok, I don't really use it since I have a clip-on that I think is more accurate. I don't play with an amp so I have never used the electronics so I really can't give you an opinion on those. I am not disappointed in my purchase and wouldn't hesitate to buy again if I had to again. Love the looks of it too.
