Comments about Martin Performing Artist Series BCPA4 4-String Acoustic-Electric Bass Guitar:

I play in the Gospel Band "Redeemed" in small churches. I really like the rich acoustic sound and the fact that I can practice unamplified with the other musicians.

Comments about Martin Performing Artist Series BCPA4 4-String Acoustic-Electric Bass Guitar:

My Biggest con on this is " ITS COST WAY TOO MUCH " maybe worth $1000. Your paying for the name. Go figure.
    I took it back
My Takamine plays just as good.
It recommended for the rich, lol

Simply Put, the BEST AEBG out there!

Comments about Martin Performing Artist Series BCPA4 4-String Acoustic-Electric Bass Guitar:

I have had my BCPA4 for about 8 months now and gig with it at least once a week. I love the feel of the neck, pretty fast and handles like an electric. Features: This bass is, simply put, the best in its class. Fishman F1 pickups are simple, and sound great. I occasionally run this bass directly to the board for a great upright tone. The only issue I have had with it is a little feedback on the A at high volume, but that is typical of instruments of this type. A sound hole plug fixes that issue easily. Unplugged she is surprisingly loud, but if playing with some hard strumming guys on dreadnoughts, you may be drowned out. Quality and Reliability: she really turns heads every time I bring her out of the case. Beautiful grain on the top! This bass is very reliable and as Insaid before, gigs at least once a week. My only recommendation is to swap out the strings with La Bella Tapewounds for a more upright tone, but that is just me. I would highly recommend this bass to any professional player who is a bit discerning when it comes to Acoustic bass. This thing will turn heads. I am known to a lot around here as "that guy with the Martin bass" haha
