Great Player's Guitar

By drew

Comments about Martin SWOMGT Sustainable Wood Series Orchestra Acoustic Guitar:

I settled on the the SWOMGT for a few reasons. I own a Martin OM-42 that I hate leaving the house with, so I wanted something that I would be comfortable with taking out to gigs while not sacrificing (much) sound quality and feel. The SWOMGT met my two big qualifiers for an acoustic: it is made in the USA and is all solid wood (including the fingerboard). I purchased this guitar sight unseen, so I didn't have many expectations, but I was blown away when I started playing. Great setup out of the box and after a little tweaking played even better. I installed an LR Baggs Dual Source pickup in the SWOMGT and it sounds phenomenal. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for an entry level Martin or someone looking for a great player's gigging guitar. The tone quality is surprisingly rich, and the craftsmanship is everything you'd hope it would be from Martin. Thanks Martin for another great instrument!
