Overview

Martin SP Lifespan acoustic guitar strings are treated with Cleartone proprietary technology to bring you the longest possible string life without sacrificing tone or natural feel.

Martin SP Lifespan strings are designed to repel the oils and dirt that can deaden strings. All six strings are treated to preserve the natural Martin SP sound and feel that players prefer.

Phosphor Bronze strings are bright, but slightly warmer sound than 80/20 bronze when first put on the guitar. They offer consistent tone over time. Phosphor bronze has a copper/tin alloy, making them sound brighter than regular bronze strings.

MSP7200 strings are recommended for rhythm rock, jazz, blues, and folk styles.

Comments about Martin MSP7200 SP Lifespan Phosphor Bronze Medium Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I just started using these strings. So far, so good. But the last set of Martins that I bought lasted a short time before corrosion began. So for this new set, it's "wait and see" as far as I'm concerned. The strings are touted to be "long life." I hope they live up to that hype. The tone is great. But if they corrode prematurely, I'm not going to be a happy camper.

Comments about Martin MSP7200 SP Lifespan Phosphor Bronze Medium Acoustic Guitar Strings:

Martin Lifespan SP 7200 are fantastic strings. After having them on my D-18 Golden Era I sold all my other sets of strings and purchased 12 sets. I love them, you will too! Great tone and and they last a long time

Great Martin Tone

By

from Ashland

Comments about Martin MSP7200 SP Lifespan Phosphor Bronze Medium Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I found no tonal differences between the Lifespan and the uncoated Martin SP strings. I also have tried Elixir and D'Addario and I like the Lifespan strings better. I am not sure that they last as long as I had expected, but the probably last at least twice as long as standard strings

So far so good

By

from San jose

Comments about Martin MSP7200 SP Lifespan Phosphor Bronze Medium Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I've been looking for a certain tone from my acoustic that past few months. I've tried D addrio EXP and I liked the sound but something was missing. I haven't tried the Helix nor the Elixir, even though people tell me to try them out. I will but not right now!! I put these strings on my Ibanez and it was a match!! I love the way they make my Emerald beauty plays!! I couldn't put it down for the first 3 hours!! The Low strings have the right ring that I'm looking for and the high strings have that brightness that I'm looking for in my playing!! i'll try other strings but I don't know when!!

Best strings I have used

By

from Chattnaooga, TN

Comments about Martin MSP7200 SP Lifespan Phosphor Bronze Medium Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I have played for a good while and used all sorts of strings. Before these I would use nothing but Elixers because of their lasting tone. I find the tone and feel of these strings to be much better than the Elixers. Also, I play very hard and have had some trouble with Elixers breaking on me...these never have. I have only changed them because they were old and worn out, never because one had broken. Definitely try these strings; they're all I will use now.
