Overview

Gauges 12-16-25-32-42-54.

If it's one thing Martin knows, it's finely crafted and vintage instruments. Martin created their Marquis line to pamper your guitar by adding a soft thread wrap at the ball ends which prevent wear and tear on the bridge and end plate as you play. This thread wrap puts a comforting layer of protection in place every time you change your strings.

Sounds brighter than my elixir strings

By Romeo Santiago

from Bakersfieldm California

Comments about Martin M1100 Marquis 80/20 Bronze Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I was looking to get elixir strings for my acoustic guitar until one of the guitar center employees offered me a pack of 3 for just $10, I'm so glad I did, these strings gave me the exact sound I wanted.

Bright with Bass

By Krona

from Atlanta, GA

Comments about Martin M1100 Marquis 80/20 Bronze Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

The Martin Marquis line was among the first strings I'd ever used when I picked up the guitar probably 20 years ago, and I still use them today. I've tried the new coated strings and have found that while they typically last a bit longer than these non-coated strings, they also fail to produce the brilliance. For guitarist who don't mind changing their strings more often, I recommend these strings 100%. The silk wrapping at the end preserves the bridge which is important on vintage instruments.

Kicks The Mess Out Of Fender Strings!

By ChristianPunkRocker

from Pensacola, FL

Comments about Martin M1100 Marquis 80/20 Bronze Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

These were the second set of strings i bought for my fender acoustic dg-8s, my first set came in the starter pack and there were apparently some of fender's best. After about a month i noticed a change in the sound whenever i played a G chord and Em E7 and E all sounded the same. So I went to my local Guitar Center and the salesman recommended these. After getting home and putting them on, I noticed a drastic change even from when i first got the fender strings. They lasted for three months and are some of the best I've ever heard.

Average Strings Sounding Average

By orangemonkeyjoe

from los angeles

Comments about Martin M1100 Marquis 80/20 Bronze Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

These strings are very inexpensive and sound it too. However if you obsessively change strings like I do (once or twice a week) you need these or you will go broke. They sound ok and play nice. Make sure to get the Martin M1100 Light or Extra light. All of the others are not very good.

Nice, bright sound

By Songwriter99

from Fresno, CA

Comments about Martin M1100 Marquis 80/20 Bronze Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I was looking for strings to brighten up the sound of a Martin dreadnought. Thought I'd give these a try and I'm glad. They sound wonderful. Bright, but still with plenty of bass. It took a day for the jangle to wear down, but they settled in nicely. And I like the silk wrap. I don't know if it does anything, but it's a nice touch
