Great balance in a beautiful guitar

By Nathan Liu

from Belle Mead, NJ

I have been looking for a guitar in the $1000+ range for a while, and I simply couldn't find anything that really impressed me enough to drop the money. I read a lot about the GPCPA4 Siris and after playing it, I fell in love. It has a great balanced tone where you can get prevalent bright tones without losing the lows. The Fishman system is also great. I perform in church services nearly every week and I've gotten a lot of really positive feedback from the congregation members on how great the sound is through the live system. I love the minor details as well; the three piece back, gold tuners, white trim, etc. I also like how the 1/4" plug isn't integrated in the strap button. It allows the player to put the strap on after plugging in, if needed. The neck also feels perfect in my hand, making it amazingly easy to play. I'm not a huge fan of the offset guide dots on the fretboard, but I'm warming up to them. I love how the Fishman F1 Analog preamp works and sounds, but every time I lean over to grab a pick off the ground or something, I end up pushing the buttons. They're pretty sensitive, and it will change the pre-programmed tonal settings. It's a small thing and all the tone settings sound pretty good anyway, but it's the only thing that semi-annoys me. The case is also a little weird. It's laid out fine, feels well made enough, and fits the guitar perfectly; but the exterior is made of a synthetic maroon alligator skin material. It's not really my style, or most people's at that, but it comes with the guitar and I can't complain. Overall, the guitar feels great, sounds great both acoustically and amped, looks stunning, and is well worth the price and the minor things that clash with my preferences. I highly recommend this guitar for anyone that wants a high end quality guitar without the multiple thousand dollar price tag.

Nice Rear End

By Daniel Kubala

from Pittsburgh, PA

First of all, this thing is just pretty to look at....the three piece back with the rosewood wedge is just beautiful....gold hardware, and let's not overlook the siris wood sides and back....couple this with the Fishman F1 system and you have one fine instrument. I did initially look at a more inexpensive model, but this thing played like "butta" even with the strings that WILL BE changed tomorrow....(kinda the only thing that drives me nuts at GC is that every goofball in the world handles them before you buy them) Also, great job by Kenny at the Robinson store...I usually shop the Monroeville store but went here on a whim and here we are....Thanx for hookin me up!

I hate it

By Charles Gilliland

from Jackson, Michigan

I came in looking for a 500 guitar and played almost every guitar in the place. I choose this one because it sounded good. I purchased it took it home and sat up almost all night playing my new Martin Guitar just hoping to find something to complain about and maybe even hoping buyers remorse would set in for spending 3 times what I had budgeted. Not a chance the more I played the more I fell in love with the sound, the feel and the quality of this American made gem. The folks at Guitar Center was beyond a doubt the finest group of people I have ever had the joy of working with. For me a die hard complainer about everything I hate the fact that I found nothing to complain about. For anyone looking for a professional quality guitar with a small budget this is it! Thanks Kalamazoo Larry the complainer
