Martin DC Aura

By Ben Perea

from Albuquerque NM

Comments about Martin DC-Aura Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

This guitar is a well crafted beautiful Martin. Acoustically Martin at its' finest! Plug it in and you won't believe the natural sound! Inlays are nearly as intricate as a D45 (I actually like them better). The neck is fast and fits your hand perfectly. I even use this guitar for fingerpicking. It definitely holds its' own at any outdoor jam session but on stage is where it really shines! This guitar plays beautifully - sounds beautiful and looks just as beautiful! This guitar has it all!

Sweet

By Sonne

from Phoenix, Arizona

Comments about Martin DC-Aura Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I selected this guitar for the quality of the sound first and then the appointments. Both are superb. After having it set up by Chuck Cellino in Phoenix the action is absolutely perfect. The one negative aspect of this guitar is that I need to replace the battery about once every month after playing an average of one hour per night every night. Using the onboard tuner may have something to do with the shortened battery life. Lithium batteries don't fit. It is great to know this beautiful guitar will age like a fine wine.

Great guitar for the money

By Bill Greene

from Burlington, MA

Comments about Martin DC-Aura Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

After spending many months researching and playing guitars I came upon this one and each one I played at different GC stores was consistantly awesome. It's hard to get such a value elsewhere with the ebony neck, ebony bridge pegs and tuners, albalone inlays and the aura system... and of course all the best sounding woods that only get better with time. The action on mine is better than 90% of all electrics. The intonation is perfect due to great all around construction. There is no need to look further unless you want to spend much further.

Doesn't Get Any Better

By Travis

from South Texas

Comments about Martin DC-Aura Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I've been playing the DC-Aura for about a month now. The DC-Aura is by far my favorite. It looks good, sounds good and is a joy to play. Whether it's plugged or unplugged, the sound will get others' attention. If you're looking for that guitar that will be noticed and get you noticed, the DC-Aura is my choice and with the Fishman electronics......icing on the cake!

Nice Cutaway

By xoner8

from Allentown, Pa.

Comments about Martin DC-Aura Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

This guitar saunds and performs great. the Aura system and onboard tuner make it convenient for live playing. The inlay and finsih are indicitave of far more expensive Martins. The neck on mine needed a slight adjustment to correct the relief. Considering the cost, I dont think it's possible to find anything better.

Where do I start?.

By pete_j

from Chatham, Ont., Canada

Comments about Martin DC-Aura Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Where do I start? Well balanced with a lower tone quality. Soft to the touch. The ARUA system gives you so many tone qualities, I'm always finding new sounds! I use this for writing and on stage. I feel like we are one! Was not my first acoustic but will be my last! And of course, it's a Martin! pete provost

DC-16RTGE Aura

By MarkB

from Fairport, NY

Comments about Martin DC-Aura Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

As an intermediate player I was looking to upgrade to a high quality, name brand guitar on budget and found this gem. I love the on-board tuner and its amazing how the body illuminates the sound when she is perfectly in tune. I had an opportunity to plug-in at a couple of gigs and the Fishman electronics sound simply awesome. I had my last guitar for 30 years. I'm not letting go of this one. Be sure to check out the Martin Owner's Club too for great, low cost perks. I am impressed with the guitar and the customer service from both Martin and the Guitar Center.

DC Aura

By gobroncsnv

from Reno, NV

Comments about Martin DC-Aura Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

This is a great guitar. I had a Taylor 810 (1988) model before, and wanted to improve the sound I got while being amplified. The Aura system is all that. Has a really fat sound, very satisfying, and it just rings out, very punchy. It is good for lead or rhythm. The guitar has very nice appointments, especially with the black headstock and ebony tuning knobs. The cutaway helps with the up the neck playing. I run it with a Toneworks AX10, and some of the combos are really interesting. Played straight through a PA, this thing really kicks out a great acoustic sound as well. I wish the neck were a bit thinner, but that is my only beef. This is a good one.
