Love It!

By steve mcqueen

from San Antonio TX

I own the D-28 & 35, and for years have considered purchasing an acoustic with mahogany back and sides. After playing a few well known & excellent mahogany guitars, I chose the Martin D-18V. It's a "Boomer." I like this because you can play it comfortably soft/medium and its volume is high. Very well rounded tone with an outstanding bass response. The D-35 & this D-18V are the two best sounding guitars that I've ever played, and I won't be picking up the D-35 for a while.

...amazing

By MartinMan

from Lesage, WV

every guitarist knows that no matter what model they get, or what extras they put on a guitar, they always search for a superbly built guitar. well i got one, this model by itself is amazing. it has a V-taper neck that i love, and abalone inlays in an ebony fretboard. i will warn you that this thing has a LOT of bottom end. the bass response on this thing is incredible. so if you're looking for top-end, go with a taylor or a gibson. the Martin D-18V was modeled after the pre-war martins, and actually guitars from that era are going for well over $250,000. i also have a angus young sig sg and she sits in the corner a lot of the time because i can't put this thing down. overall i HIGHLY recomend this guitar, one of the best martin makes....and martin makes the best acoustics....
