This is by far the best acoustic guitar out there in the USD 1500/2000 price range. It doesn't get better than this. The finish is stunning. For real. From the quality of the materials (stika, ebony, rosewood) to the tuners, this guitar is perfect. When you start playing it, you feel the tone resonating in body and the neck like few guitars do. Sounds full and fat, but has a mid range that is there if you want to strum chrods around with a pick. Specifically, I'd this is a blues/folk fingerpicking monster. Confortable, light, resonant, great looking, amazing feeling. No cons...

Comments about Martin Custom MMV 0-12VS Concert Acoustic Guitar:

Mahogany neck, solid rosewood sides and back, spruce top, '0' size, this is a lot for a guitar at this price point. It's a sweet little guitar, a parlor guitar, really, with a 25.5 scale. Really high quality all around, great attention to detail.

Comments about Martin Custom MMV 0-12VS Concert Acoustic Guitar:

I am testing this guitar out...so some comments. I've always loved the smaller Martins, 0-18, 00-18, 0018Vintage/Adirondack, 000-18, 00028 and 016NY I have now or have had. I have also owned a D-28 and D-18, and my preferred guitar is a prewar 00-18 at the moment. I was trying this out, and as I was talking to another person noticed that my shoulder didn't hurt--chronic rotator cuff problem. And, although I'm partial to mahogany guitars, I liked this sound, and the feeling of relaxation while playing. I never really thought a 12-fret to the body guitar would meet a need for me, but this might be the guitar that does it. It feels like the D-28 felt to me when I was 18--the perfect guitar for now. Neck has great feel everywhere, and one can hold the guitar without distorting the body, a great feature that I only appreciated in the past several years. Sweet rosewood sound, it can be loud too. Wonderful custom shop work, no buzzes, loose anything, or any concern. I have only one--no side braces or tape. I would have preferred red spruce, but for the price, the is a great guitar. For that I might overlook the new
          headstock lable, unnecessary gold tuners.

Comments about Martin Custom MMV 0-12VS Concert Acoustic Guitar:

Exactly what I thought it would be only better! My wife said it has an "intimate tone". Played the first small venue yesterday. The smaller size allowed movement in and around the setting. Very comfortable.
I appreciate Matt in customer service for the advice and friendly help. Good phone voice, friendliness and helpful. Thanks!

This is a beautiful example of a classic Martin custom guitar. The manufacturing and materials are flawless. One has to play it to really appreciate the sound from this parlor sized guitar.

              What a great little guitar

              By Bob

Comments about Martin Custom MMV 0-12VS Concert Acoustic Guitar:

Wow!! This is a wonderful little guitar. The tone and sustain with Martin light strings are amazing. She's a plain little Jane with deep beauty. It seems to change tone getting deeper and richer after warming up against your body. I've had friends who have been playing for years with much more expensive guitars (2 to 5 times more) who are amazed with the sound and ease of play. Its hard to get this baby out of their hands. :-)

Comments about Martin Custom MMV 0-12VS Concert Acoustic Guitar:

This small parlor guitar has become my favorite on stage. It has amazingly rich and complex tone which you wouldn't expect from it's size. Paired with an LR Baggs Anthem SL this baby sings. It has replaced my Taylor 815ce (2001) as my guitar of choice for stage, I find the smaller size more comfortable and enjoy the 12 fret build. For the price, this is a fabulous deal on a custom shop built Martin.

Comments about Martin Custom MMV 0-12VS Concert Acoustic Guitar:

Guitar arrived in perfect condition, set up with good action and feel. It has a balanced sound and more bass than you might expect from a little guitar. it breaks up a little when strummed hard, but is fantastic when finger picked. The fit and finish are incredible, and it even smells good. The size is perfect for me--I had shoulder surgery last year, and big guitars are uncomfortable to play. The sound and playability are great, and
it sounds and feels like the 0-28 I could not justify buying. Amazing for the price.
