Comments about Martin CEO-7 00 Grand Concert Acoustic Guitar:

Beautiful instrument, rich sound, and the excellent action I'd expect from one of the best manufacturers in the industry. The size is perfect, much more comfortable than a dreadnaught, yet still the rich sound. Great for fingernpickjg or strumming. I debated on this vs a Jeff Tweedy, both very similar. Finally came down to the spruce top and ebony fretboard.

Finish is gloss, darker than it looks online. It has a vintage look, featuring tuning machines with a worn look. The slightly larger nut allows just enough additional space for intermediate players.

Comments about Martin CEO-7 00 Grand Concert Acoustic Guitar:

This is a great addition to my Martin collection. It is a pleasure to play. The wood selections for this model along with its light bracing allow complex tones to ring and ring. Trebles, mids and bass (yes. I said bass.) are all there. This guitar pushes more volume than I thought possible from a 00 body. It is great for flatpicking or fingerplaying. Its neck is comfortable but i would have preferred the artist taper that Martin uses a lot these days. The only thing I don't like is the antique finish on the Golden Age tuners. That of course is a personal thing and certainly doesn"t effect the sound of this great little guitar. I am a happy owner. Thanks Mr Martin for this new model and others that I am happy and blessed to own.

Comments about Martin CEO-7 00 Grand Concert Acoustic Guitar:

First I should say this is my third Martin, the others being a D18 1934 GE and an OM-H28 VTS. I've wanted a 00-sized guitar and after having played several I chose the CEO-7. Boy, am I fortunate. I'm having more fun with this guitar than I really thought possible. First, it looks so cool. More Gibson L-00 than Martin (hence the "My Favorite Marti(a)n" nod in the title). But it plays and sounds just like a Martin--and that's a great thing. I've often said that if American history and culture had a soundtrack, it would be played on a Martin. And if I were doing the playing, it would be on my CEO-7. It fits like a glove and the sound rocks my soul. When played softly, it produces a sweet and delicate sound. But when you lay into it, it becomes gritty and bluesy. I've swapped the plastic bridge pins for bone and I'll probably upgrade the tuners at some point, but everything else is tops--addy top; mahogany back and sides; looks like a mahogany neck; ebony fingerboad and bridge; 1 3/4 bone nut. It's a lot of value for the price. Honestly, hands down THE BEST guitar I've ever owned. No regrets. I'll have this one forever.

Comments about Martin CEO-7 00 Grand Concert Acoustic Guitar:

By far the best guitar I own. I absolutely love this guitar. I play Acoustic Blues like Mississippi John Hurt tunes and other finger picking songs. The detail is flawless. The spacing on the stings are generous. The sound is rich and full. The setup was perfect. Nice case also. This one is a keeper and I look forward to playing it for many years.

Comments about Martin CEO-7 00 Grand Concert Acoustic Guitar:

I bought this 2015 CEO-7 used at the Lawrenceville, Georgia Guitar Center. I added a LR Baggs Lyric pickup and initially had the new DiaD Nickle bronze string put on it. I did not like the strings so I went with the 80/20 Elixir Light nanowebs. It sounds a little too bright but the middle range really shines thru. After having it for a few weeks the balance has really started to shine thru. It has more volume than you think for a guitar this size, but you gotta remember that it is not a dreadnaught hog. It is clear, crisp, oaky, woody, and has some delicate overtones that are really special. It is really easy to play along the fretboard and the Adirondack top really is made perfectly to project the resonance. I really can't describe this guitar because is sounds so unlike any other Martins or Gibson's that I have or currently own. It is unique and has the CEO of Martin C.F. Martin signed on the inside of the guitar with the insignia of #1819. It is also a very attractive guitar. It has a beautiful finish and the tuners have a vintage appeal. I really like practicing with this guitar because it is so smooth to play. Strumming or picking. If you have very large hands, you might struggle with it, but I dont have large hands so it is perfect for me. It came with a really nice Gieb case with a Martin plated logo. It is really labeled as a travel guitar but it is so much more than that. I played with a church band and it really cut thru the overall noise and shimmered thru. This is a classic guitar that I am so happy with. Its just so unique.

Excellent overall guitar. Love the 00 and 000 Martins. Beautiful feel and finish. Tone is full and sustain is wonderful. Some have not been happy with the tuners but I love them. Great vintage coloring. Stays in tune fine. Highly recommend.

This thing is the best acoustic I've ever had my hands on. It outplays my D-18GE amongst other fine instruments I've played. It took me a minute to wrap my mind around using light strings again but this thing doesn't need mediums. The tone mix and separation that it produces is amazing. I play with a pick and fingers. Installed a LR Baggs Anthem SL in it and tue sound through my California Blond is pure. Truly an amazing creation. Definitely the envy of myself and all my peers. Way to go CF Martin!

I had read great things about this guitar on the Internet and watched a few YouTube demos and it sounded great. So it being close to Xmas with the GC 20% off coupon, I pulled the trigger on this baby. Just from a looks perspective this guitar is beautiful. This is my first sunburst top Martin. The combination of the Sitka spruce top and the mahogany back and sides, results in a rich wonderful tone that I can only see getting better over time. The size is comfortable to hold and play on the couch or a comfortable chair. I seem. to lean towards smaller body guitars. In spite of the size, this guitar still packs a punch. And for you sound hole sniffers like me, the wood smell is intoxicating. I don't think you can go wrong on this guitar.

I covet. As a general rule that is what I do. I have been coveting this instrument since it came out. I have always loved the idea of the OO Gibson's but i really didn't get into the sound they made. Kinda thin. And then when the CEO7 came out seemed to be not so hot. I would play it and it didn't move me. But then my friend Nicky at GC played it and then I understood. Its light and has the beauty of a goddess . I put a K&K mini and it performs like a champ. Responsive, stays in tune. Ok this is my one and only. Of course I have said that before.
