OUTSTANDING SOUND!

By Daniel Abeyta

from Winchester, Cal.

The sound and feel of this guitar is second to none. The smooth neck and clear clean action/response you get is truely legendary. Plugged or not, this is hands down the finest USA made instrument top quality imaginable. It definitely sets the bar high for other manufacturers. It is destined to be much sought after guitar for the price. No frills, just high esteem.

Best bang for your $$$

By Jay

from Nashville, TN

I had originally bought the Taylor 214ce without ever looking at this one. After replacing the Taylor du to a bad neck. I went back and the salesperson steered me toward this beauty. The sound from it is nothing short of amazing. It's got that warm Martin tone and the action was set perfect. After sitting around what I thought was about 45 min, was actually almost 2 hours. This guitar is so easy and comfortable to play . Some people say negative about the stratabond neck. They could not be more wrong . It is very smooth and fast with a really good feel. I would recommend this to anyone. One great purchase!!!

Great for fingerstyle

By Christopher Nelson

from Austin, TX

I was looking for an steel string acoustic to use for fingerstyle and clasical playing in addition to my nylon classical guitar. I knew I needed something with 1 3/4" nut to allow some extra space for fingerpicking but everything I liked was way out of my price range. Then I came across this one and have been in love ever since. It is absolutely the perfect size and string spacing for my style of playing. It's compact enough for every day practice and sounds great when jacked in. I have several other cheaper acoustic guitars and none of them compare. I should have bucked up and bought a Martin in the first place. If you play fingerstyle and want a relatively inexpensive Martin, this is the one for you. Highly recommended by me.

Great Guitar - be careful of the finish

By anita

from seattle, wa

Would give it a 5 but within several months of owning it, it developed blemishes where my strumming arm rests. Too bad since this is an absolutely gorgeous guitar without all the ornate embellishments. Plays beautifully, sounds great. Just be careful to play with long sleeves otherwise your skin oil will muck up the finish.

Martin Quality and sound, affordable price

By Joe Garrett

from Baldwin, MD

I had decided to trade up from my Martin dreadnaught to an oo or OM style guitar, more suited to my style of playing. I was looking at the Martin OM-16 series guitars when I happened upon this one at GC. I was blown away by the playability, and sound of this reasonably priced guitar. Plenty of bass for my needs, and the action is a smooth as silk. It sounds good picked or strummed, and the built-in tuner makes it easy to change tuning on the fly.

Great Guitar

By Maverick

from Little Rock, AR

I Found this guitar at my local GC ang fell in lust with it. It sounds amazing. The best part that I've found about it so far is that it sounds like two totally different guitars depending on whether your finger picking or not. Another thing I have run into with a similar body shape is that they don't produce much volume, that is not the case with this guitar, if you play this thing with a pick it can get dreadnaught loud. The guitar fits your body very well while sitting or standing and is not akward in any fashion. I traded three guitars and an amp in to bring this puppy home, and I am glad I did!

Wonderful guitar

By Bob

from N. Syracuse, NY

I just got this guitar about a week ago, and I'm having a hard time putting it down. Excellent, well balanced sound with great sustain. Sounds great plugged in or unplugged. The Fishman electronics are great and easy to use. For an easy price, you get a real, USA built, easy to play and superb sounding MARTIN. You can't beat that! It doesn't have the exotic woods, frilly inlays and finishes of the higher end models, but what is it really about anyway? The quality and sound, in my opinion. Great guitar!
