I went to guitar center looking for a Taylor 110 or low end Martin. I played several guitars and nearly left not having found a guitar that said "buy me". However as soon as I picked this guitar up I knew it was the one. This guitar sounds amazing. This guitar sounds as good as alot of guitars that cost 3 times the price. My hats off to Martin because this is a great sounding well balanced guitar that doesn't break the bank. Finally a great sounding guitar that almost everyone can afford.

Small body, big sound

By Uri Weiss

from Cleveland, OH

Comments about Martin 000X1 Acoustic Guitar:

I came to own my Trip-0 3 and a half years ago. If I were married, and owning a guitar is anything like being a faithful husband, I'd be a saint. No, I'd be Jesus. I've played hundreds of acoustics including my friend's limited edition Taylor guitar, and I would take my Trip-0 over all of them. I love the stripped-down appearance and the balance of lows and highs makes the Trip-0x1 perfect for blues and slide. My only gripe is that the auditorium body makes finding the appropriate case a challenge, but I use a standard case and line the body cavity with some acoustic foaming and my problem is solved. I'm still blown away by the huge sound, and she's still aging to perfection. Cheers!

This one is it

By Andyboy

Comments about Martin 000X1 Acoustic Guitar:

I was planning on buying the Taylor Big Baby when I stumbled upon the 000x1 at my local guitar center. No contest. Game over. This guitar plays and projects better than any other auditorium size I have encountered. The non-laminated neck plays fast and feels good. It would have been nice to have a strap peg installed at the heel but that's not a compelling enough reason to buy an inferior competitor. Also, if you are considering a soundhole pickup for this- make sure it fits before buying. The soundhole is a tad bit smaller than most dreadnoughts.

Great guitar no matter what level your at.

By Greg Robie

from Toledo, Ohio

Comments about Martin 000X1 Acoustic Guitar:

This guitar is a true Martin. Don't let the price fool you. It's got the rich tones that the more expensive Martins and Taylors have. The body style makes it comfortable to play. It's not as cumbersome as some of the larger acoustics. I would recommend this guitar to anyone who want a GREAT guitar at a fair price.

Absolutely Super

By Mark

from Lubbock, TX

Comments about Martin 000X1 Acoustic Guitar:

There is some variability. I played several at GC stores, and waited until I found one that I liked before purchasing. Mine is loud and projects well, has a full rich tone and plays like butter. I love it. I bought it for a travel guitar. The 000 size in a gig bag fits in Airline overhead bins, and the guitar is supposed to be super tough. Overall, I think this guitar is an incredible bargain. I'm delighted with it.

Martin 000X1 review

By Bugeye Wally

from Nebraska

Comments about Martin 000X1 Acoustic Guitar:

Nice guitar my wife just purchased. Sure has a nice balanced Martin sound and it is very light. Maybe a little too light for me but perfect for a petite person who plays finger style. Set up of the instrument was excellent from the factory and it's made in the USA. Worth the 500 plus dollars for sure.

I'm so glad I bought one

By Anonymous

from Undisclosed

Comments about Martin 000X1 Acoustic Guitar:

If you want to learn how to play or already know, this guitar will not sit idle. It is the type of guitar that makes you feel guilty for not playing it. I've had mine for 3 months now, and if I don't get a chance to play I feel like I'm missing out. The neck is so sweet. I find myself just wanting to play. Everything sounds so amazing. So you know if you can play that it's just going to sound awesome. Spend the extra $100.00 or $200.00 and get yourself a guitar that you will want to last forever. You will never replace it, you'll just want something else.

Pleasure time

By batman

Comments about Martin 000X1 Acoustic Guitar:

I hadn't bought a new guitar in 30 years. When I went to buy one, I sat down and tried out several. I kept coming back to this one. Although simple and not expensive, it has such great sound and was so easy to play, I had to buy it.

Nice, But is it a Martin?

By Capngabe

from Sherman, TX

Comments about Martin 000X1 Acoustic Guitar:

Taking this Martin at first, it seemed amazing. The sound was deep and rich and was easy to play on. However, as time went on, the guitar got stiffer and stiffer, and the sound it once had before wasnt as rich and deep as it once was. Otherwise, the Martin is a good good for intermediate users, at a reasonable price.
