  • Amazing Guitar!!

As reviewed by Jeff Perro on 11/18/2010

I bought this guitar 2 weeks ago and it's amazing. Sound is so pure and very easy to play. Would never realize it's an acoustic-electric and it looks amazing. I love how the electrics are inside rather then outside, extremely neat. I would definitely recommend this guitar to everyone!!!

  • Nice ringing sound; great guitar

As reviewed by Lynn Maxwell on 4/12/2014

This guitar was picked as a birthday present, and all of us involved in choosing, receiving and playing it have been delighted. This guitar has a nice matte finish, a clean look, a good, low action and easy playing. The best thing about this specific guitar is the strong response of the bass range, and the fact that ALL the strings resonate well, giving the guitar a ringing, clear tone. We have heard a LOT of guitars over the years, and for the money, this is a great pick for someone who desires a crisp-sounding guitar in a medium price range. This is a good "move up" guitar for a person who has some practice and wants to jump from the beginner guitars to a better sound. Definitely a nice mid-range guitar that sounds better than some of the more expensive guitars. Martin deserves its good reputation!

  • Great Next-Step Guitar

As reviewed by Lauren on 8/11/2011

I just went from an Ibanez starter guitar to my first Martin and I have to say, I'm in love with this guitar. I usually prefer something with a slightly darker tone, but this one is practically perfect balanced: not to bright and not too dark. It does not have the hardware necessary to EQ from the stage, it just has a preamp, which I was disappointed by at first, but it actually adds to the quality of sound, so I'm really satisfied with it. It has a very rich sound and as a vocalist, it's key for me to find a guitar that complements my voice. The playability is great, too. The action on the neck is very good. In general, it was a great guitar for me to help me go to the next level of skill on guitar. This guitar is so great, it makes me want to actually spend time practicing.
