NEW REVIEW - Works Great!!

I've had this same model Martin Thinline in my Yamaha FG-612 12-string for several years now. When I finally got a Martin 12-string, I knew I'd have to able to plug 'er in. I got a Thinline for my new DX12-1, and it sounds a world apart from the Yamaha, not that the Yamaha doesn't sound good. It more than holds its own acoustically and when plugged in. the Thinline does the same great job for the Martin, very clean with bright highs and deep low tones. It's strong enough to give the amp a good, strong signal without being overly harsh at high volume. Now some people will cringe when I say this, but I don't have an acoustic amp. I use a Crate G130C-XL with an addition speaker cab for a total of 4 12" Celestions and 190 watts RMS. I never have a feedback problem despite the legendary strength of the amp. I slso use a Line-6 Spider III 75-watt amp at church. I do have to watch feedback a little bit with this amp, but it's never anything I can't easily compensate for. I'm a very happy camper with the Thinlines in both of my babies. It's very easy to install since it's a passive pickup, but, yes, I let a professional do the job. I've never had a problem controlling everything at the amp. It's a great and inexpesive way to get a great amplified sound out of any acoustic guitar. I get "Ooo!", "Ahhh!" and "Wow!" from people who hear the setup with either guitar / either amp.
