The Martin Raptor effects light creates a dynamic, eye-catching show with more than 70 ever-changing light beams. Sound activated, and a powerful mid-air performer, the Raptor employs a 250W halogen lamp to give unrivaled brightness for a unit of its compact dimensions. A built-in high speed cooling fan ensures that the Raptor disco light runs all night long while a microprocessor controls the music trigger.

Comments about Martin Professional Raptor Mid-Air Effect Light:
First of all, and remeber this, you get what you pay for and this is about the lowest priced light that is worth buying unless Wal-Mart sells a frickin Martin Raptor as a blue light special for $13.97! Just messing around with one of these lights in my basement frickin' rocks. Take one to a party and spew out some fog and you will see the many colors of this prehistoric beast take over the the dance floor. It syncs with the music like a ballerina that if you have 10 of them could eat a T-Rex. Nasty right? See it for yourself. Martin always makes quality products too so dont be afraid that a Raptor isn't strong enough. They gave it a real nice strong lamp and it puts out great strong colors. I don't think it has a duty cycle so don't be afraid to use it for a while, however, being that it does not use color and picture combinations like scanners do, it does tend to get a little repetitive. And realize, it is a DJ/Club light, not a tour light so it is not a real high quality light that is meant to be used in multiples. The one thing you should be aware of is that it is not that great on a wall. It doesn't make shapes or patterns, it makes beams of light so you need to use fog to get the full effect. That is why Martin calls it "an aggresive mid-air performer." And that is exactly what it is. It goes strong and hard for as long as you need it too and I think it is worth every penny. It turns your floor into a hot zone and brings out the beast in the audience. If you need a light for around $250, look hard at the Raptor. Cool name too.
