  • Just What I Needed!

As reviewed by Beth Horst on 5/21/2013

As a musician that playes "tiki bars" on the Gulf Of Mexico, I was tired of tuning after every song and having to worry about an expensive guitar exposed to salt air and heat. The "laminated" sides and back are supposed to eliminate much of the problem. "Out of the box," the guitar sounds sweet! The electronics, compared to my Fender, sound 100% better! What a prize!

  • Excellent, value-minded guitar.

As reviewed by Justin Saunders on 11/10/2013

I spent two about 10 hours between two stores playing every acoustic in sight. I had a budget of $1,400, but disregarded price and appearance; I was only interested in the feel and sound. I was most impressed with the tone under aggressive play...this thing loves hard strumming and slaps. It has a very full sound and projects it very well. I rarely play with an amp, but the electronics sound very impressive, too. I found a few other guitars with similar sound qualities, but they were all considerably more expensive for the solid wood designs. I opted for this one, because the sound was amazing and I am hoping the laminate will hold up better...I am very abusive on guitars; I travel a great deal in varied climates and I do a great deal of playing outdoors. This thing is a total workhorse. With my abusive nature; I think it will hold up better than the full-wood models over time, but we will see. I have had this guitar for 9 months now and my other guitars have become very lonely.

  • Amazing

As reviewed by MATT BRAUCKMANN on 6/17/2013

I will start out by saying that I am a drummer, and guitar is just something I picked up. I went into guitar center and just messed around in the acoustic room for a little while and saw this. What a value! It's the signature Martin sound, and truthfully, I played this against some of the higher end Martins and Taylors, and there was little difference in sound. The bigger surprise came when I got home and plugged it in, first I plugged it into the amp and it sounded good, then I plugged it into the computer to record a little and I was blown away, the Fishman pickups produce a crystal clear sound. Overall it's and amazing guitar for the value, not to mention it looks awesome as well.
