As reviewed by Greg Hernandez on 8/3/2012

Maybe I'm naive to the ways of Bluegrass playing, since I do not play that wonderful happy hillbilly crap. What I noticed after stringing these up, though, was that the four wound strings had that great, booming, bright sound that a new set of acoustic strings should have (maybe even better than most), but that the first two (high) strings were a bit dead sounding. They are stretchy-er than other medium strings I've tried. Maybe all that is good for fiddling or noodling or whatever it is that Bluegrass players do, but I like my high strings to carry a little more resonance and brightness. Still, for the sale price they were a bargain. I won't buy them again but they'll do for now.
