Great sound. Too short of life

I've been using Martic Co. for about five years now. I went from medieum, to light, and finally got around to trying the custom lights. They really felt good and gave such a clean natural sound, But one thing all the other martin co. has that the custom lights don't is long life. I've played the crap out my strings before I'm talking 80 hours of play just to see if they could take it and I lost tonal quality at about 60. But I put the custom lights on and they only lasted about 10 hours of play before my G string decided it had enough. If u don't mind buying a lot of strings. Or if you go live and have to anyway. Then these strings are really great, they jsut need to last longer!!!!

Nice sound but short life

I put these on my Takamine and they sounded great initially. After about 8-10 hours of play. the D and G strings dropped their tonal quality. If you don't mind restringing often, they're great.

Fleetingly Awesome

These strings sound amazing when you first put them on - the highs are bright and the lows reverberate like no other. I have a Martin DCX1E and these strings complement my guitar like no other. I've tried Dean Markleys, Elixirs, Blue Steels, you name it, but I've enjoyed using the Martin SP's the most. The only thing is that they don't last very long, but at $6 a pack, they definitely do the job.

Fantastic Strings

Wow - I just love playing the SP Custom Light Martin strings. The sound is so bright and clean. If you like playing with Light strings give the "custom Light" a try. I have been sticking with these over the "Light" SP from Martin.

No more buzz

The only kind of strings I ever put on my Martin d-15 are Martin SP custom lights. I tryed lights before but because my action is set so low I couldn't avoid the fret buzz. So I tryed custom lights and they play like light strings but don't buzz at all. Since the first time I used them three years ago I have never used anything else.
