I've been a fingerpicker for about 40 years and have used a variety of strings. About 10 years ago I started using Martin strings exclusively. I have 3 mid priced Martins a couple of Larrivees and a dozen acoustics all together. I change out my strings about every other month on all of them since the Martin 80/20 strings start to lose their ring and sustain. The phosphor bronze strings last at least twice as long as I am used to and I have one set on my 00-28VS that I've been using daily for about five months and they are still sounding like new.
These Martin strings produce excellent sounds across the spectrum, from clear bass notes to the brilliant high strings. Couldn't be happier with the product, and the 10-set package is a real value!
