I decided to try Martin M170, extra light acoustic strings. The sound is just amazing for a light ga. string. The bass is well defined and tight, the highs are crisp. I'm using them on on jumbo dreadnought guitar so your actual millage may vary. Great for acoustic Zep and Clapton stuff. Nice rich sound and smooth to play rock tunes with. I've found an acoustic string that I'm going to stick with.
I bought these strings because I thought extra light would be good for me, since I have been used to playing my electric. These strings did not disappoint. Even though they are extra light, they did not lose any of the deep tones you would expect from an acoustic guitar. They also stay in tune great, after putting them on, i tuned it once or twice and they have not lost tune yet.
