Martin M130 steel acoustic guitar strings are compound wound with silk on the lower strings making them softer to the touch and hence easier to play. Gauges 11.5-14-23-28-38-47.
I have used these strings for my acoustic guitar and they do not break that offen. They first hurt when you play the first 4 minutes, but then they don't bother you after that. They are great strings.

I bought these to try based on a recommendation. 3rd string broke immediately while tuning it during installation. String was a full note below tune when it broke right in the middle. Martin never responded to my email. Used strings with a replacement string. These have no sustain, and don't feel any better than my old D'Addarios. Don't waste your money on these.
