A small woman's dream!
After recently deciding to take up the guitar, I realized that my small stature was going to make it a bit difficult. In picking out a guitar I really looked through all the 3/4 and "baby's" and travels I could find, the sound out of the LXM Little Martin was much better than the Fender, Squire, and Yamaha. The Baby Taylor did sound better, but it's harder to play (you have to push very hard on the strings) and a bit too big! So the LXM with it's smooth sound seems the perfect fit, literally for me. I would recommend it for students, kids and travelers, as it really has a memorable sound and light touch.

Little Martin. Big Sound.
Good things come in small packages. (That?s what I keep telling my wife anyway.) And the Little Martin LXM acoustic guitar is no exception.
Its smaller size is perfect for my 7-year-old son, who I bought it for, but guess who plays it more? That?s right, me. I?m the Bad Dad because I got it for his birthday, but when I pick it up I?m like a pit bull on a pork chop?I won?t let go. It?s such a kick to play.
It?s got nice tops and mids, and for a little guy it?s got decent bottom, too. Put it all together and its got the rich, warm sound that makes a Martin a Martin.
Another plus: it comes with a padded gig bag, making it the perfect traveling companion next to a busload of groupies. Is it perfect? Almost. My one criticism is that it lacks certain eye candy you see on other acoustics, say, mother-of-pearl neck inlays. But the lack of these decorative nuances is a small price to pay, considering its retail price is a small price to pay.
Beginners, travel junkies, kids -- Bad Dads -- everybody can discover their inner Neil Young with the Little Martin LXM, the biggest little acoustic guitar around. Now if you?ll excuse me, I have to send my son to bed -- so I can play his guitar.

Great guitar...
Bought as a guitar to just throw around and relax with. Great tone, great feel it even sounds better than my dread Fender acoustic. Highly recommend for anyone either for fun or for some acoustic jamming.

Little Martin, but BIG sound
You will not believe your ears when you hear what the Little Martin can do. It might look like a toy, but it sounds like heaven. This guitar even sounds better than many full-sized guitars, such as yamaha's, squiers, and even some fenders. The great thing about the Little Martin is that the price is small too. I don't think you can get a better sounding guitar for the money. To top it all off, it's easily portable and is also available as an acoustic/electric. Way to go Martin!

I recently had surgery on my left shoulder and this ?Little Martin? was just the ticket to feed my guitar ?jones.? Following my ?procedure? I had no external rotation with my left arm. This guitar is just the right size for sitting on the couch and making some noise! I re-strung it with some Martin MSP 4050?s, lowered the action a little and now it plays like a dream. Even though my shoulder is doing much better, I can?t put it down! This thing never ceases to amaze me even though it?s ? size and all HPL. But then again, it?s a Martin!
