  • Little Martin - Big Payback

As reviewed by Rick on 6/18/2011

The sound that comes from this little gem is spectacular. The quality of workmanship is outstanding. I bought this guitar as a traveler after I'd tried a Washburn Rover and a Martin Backpacker. This guitar has a more full sound and is better balanced. The action is not too high and it really holds its tune well. The fretboard is a little narrow, so my sausage fingers have a bit of a tight pinch to play an A amjor but a little prectice and modified technique and that was overcome. This would be an excellent guitar for a young beginner's hands.

  • Should have gotten the all platic one

As reviewed by Matt C on 5/13/2011

This is a phenomenally good sounding guitar for its size, but doesn't hold a candle to a full size guitar. A bit cumbersome to play if you have large hands, but manageable, can play sweet music with this thing. I took it to Africa, no problems. Took it to Arizona, and came home to find the spruce top with a classic split below the bridge. Might have been the lack of humidity. Still sounds and plays fine.

  • Great big little guitar

As reviewed by Todd on 5/9/2011

I bought this guitar to replace my baby Taylor that I had for 10 yrs.I am so happy I did. This guitar plays and sounds way better then the Taylor. I played 4 different travel type guitars and settled on the Martin. Not only did it sound better then it's competitors,it seems to be a lot tougher. I travel a lot and take the Martin everywhere I go and it rarely goes out of tune. I work in Alaska on a fishing boat and live in the mountains in Wyoming, most guitars can't take that extreme change in environment. The Martin handles it with no problems. Thanks guitar center.
