This jumbo cutaway features a polished gloss lacquered body, European flamed maple back and sides and a solid Sitka spruce top. The fingerboard and bridge are crafted from striped Macassar ebony. Each JC16ME is equipped with the acclaimed Fishman onboard Aura sound reinforcement system. The Aura is capable of blending your choice of six acoustic sound images with the Martin Gold Plus under-the-saddle transducer. The sound images are derived from studio recordings of each guitar being played into high-end condenser microphones for an unequaled studio quality reproduction of the world renowned Martin tone.
The tone of this acoustic guitar is very balanced. Not bass heavy sounding. The playability of the neck is typical Martin; (silky smooth with great action). The European flamed maple sides and back are a joy to see. Overall, a very satisfying instrument well worth the price.

Touch my JC-16ME and I'll break your hand! I've been playing for 35+ years . . . this is my baby! I play on the Las Vegas Strip and get the best compliments with each and every sound tech around! I play through my Fender Accoustic amp and it only gets richer! The neck action, the accoustic sound - and then there's the Aura Blend! Absolutely spectacular!
