I wanted a new guitar to use for the praise team at my church. I saw this martin and fell in love with it. still, I wanted to play other guitars. after playing what seemed like 100 guitars none compared to this martin. perfect action, awesome tone, easy to use electrics and of course the price made it the perfect guitar for me. it takes a few plays to loosen it up but once you do, there is none better. the only drawback is that it took forever to get delivered and it only has the one peg on the bottom but those are minor details on an absolute perfect guitar
Great sound, kind of crazy that it's made out of formica....but yes, it really does sound and play like a Martin. If you have the cash, go up to the DCX1KE....they are very similar. But the DCK1KE has just a little more classic "Martin" in it. I will say this thing easily smokes my $2000 custom Guild DV6.
This guitar is absolutly amazing. The tone of this guitar is truly amazing. And the best part is that it looks as good as it plays. Thelaminate sides and tops are really nice because you don't have to worry about the wood warping. the fishman pickup is amazing too it can handle anything that you throw at it and you can easily hear yourself at a gig or in practice. i have been playing for 10 yrs now and this is the best acoustic guitar i have ever purchased. the only complaint i have about it is that the fretboard stains really easy from sweart or grease from your fingers but it doesn't effect the playability of the guitar in any way. buy this guitar you won't be desapointed.
