Amazing Guitar
I have played alot of guitars in my day. But i can honestly say that this is one of the best sounding acoustic guitars i have ever played. I think it sounds better than any Martin. The combination of spruce and rosewood provides an equal balance of warmth and brightness. The projection is outstanding, the neck, unbelievable, and the tone...i feel like im playing a 50 year old D35 combined with a Taylor 814ce.
Trust me, you won't be let down. Get this guitar. Or at least go try it out.

What a guitar!!
I have probably had about 8 guitars over the past 40 years (acoustics and electrics)and this is by far the best one yet. I had sold my Taylor 110 and was looking for a guitar that had solid woods with great sound, and one that I intended to keep. The solid rosewood and spruce top of the DSR have that wonderful Martin sound, great bases and bright trebles. The action was a little bit high, so I had a Martin tech set it a bit lower and also install a strap button on the heel. It also came with medium gauge strings which he changed to lights. I just love this guitar, I can't put it down, I am always playing it! It has a mod low oval neck, which is very comfortable. I went to the Guitar Center with the intent that I would have to pay much more than the $899.99 that I paid for it at the GC Green Tag Sale. I played almost every Martin (not the electic models) in the store, guitars that were 2 to 3 times more expensive, and chose this one over the others because of its great sound. I also called Martin - they emailed me the specs on the guitar and said it was modeled off of the D28. This is a great guitar and you will not be sorry with your purchase.

What a value!!!
As an owner of a Taylor 614CE and other guitars, I was looking for an everyday knock around player. I tried the lower end Taylor, Epiphone Masterbuilt, Breedlove and others. And then I picked up the Martin DSR. The sound overwhelmed me. And then I tried other Martins's including D-28, but nothing sounded better than the DSR. Great neck, great feel and easy to play. What a sound, what a value.

Best Bang for the Buck! Hands Down!
I've been playing on and off for pleasure and in bands for about 30 years. I've always wanted a Martin, but never really wanted to spend the money. I went out to look at the new Epiphones that everyone is raving about. I played a few of them, and they were okay, but not really great. While I was there, I decided to play a few Martins - all of them actually. When I strummed this one, I could not believe the sound! My wife actually spun around, and said how great this guitar sounded. The DSR was clear, crisp, full, and completely filled the room. The action was perfect, and it was the easiest guitar I have ever played. I played for a few minutes, and it was awsome. When I finally had the nerve to check the price, I was again amazed. My wife looked at me, and said "Buy it". Honestly, this sounded better than the D-15's, D-28's. etc. It really was the best playing, best sounding Martin in the store. My advice - forget those Epiphones, and spend a few more bucks on a REAL guitar! I've waited 30 years for this, and it was worth the wait. I've had the DSR for about a month now, and I just can not put it down.

MARTIN QUALITY WITH TAYLOR TONE!!!
After purchasing and being disappointed with several guitars, including two martins I decided to go to Taylor to get the tone I wanted... After selecting a 2200 dollar Taylor I was waiting for them to box it up, I just happened to grab the DSR-GC I played it for a minute and fell in love and have been in love for over a year now... thanks Martin and guitar center.
