Great guitar - watch the heat

This is a great guitar and I have not found a better one in this price range. It is very easy to play due to its close action. It has a problem in the heat though - when the ambient temperature gets into the 90's the fretboard and neck expand at different rates causing the neck to bow and the high strings touch the frets. (Only a problem for one week in the summer).

Great Guitar for the price

By far the best tone out there for 700$ And with electronics!! Solid construction, great craftmaship. It also sound great plugged in, I cant wait to start doing shows with it. Also its start sounding better with age. At this price range for this you cant find any thing better. Taylor 110E is close but in my opion is too bright and not enoug bottom end like the Martin. Plus martin has 3 channel EQ vs. 2 for taylor.

A Nice Acoustic!

I've had the chance to play the DCX1E, and boy was I happy I did! For the price, it is a steal! This thing sure does play well. The neck is nice and fast, and it has a warm tone. It may not sound as well as something twice its price, but it is close. The finish is nice as well.

Amazing guitar

This guitar is incredible. Everything about it is fresh. You take it out of its case and you can smell the real wood. You play the guitar and you can hear how natural it is. The tone is amazing. One strum can fill the room. It also works perfectly with any condenser microphone to create an incredible quality recording. If you're considering buying this guitar, GET IT!

Yummy bass

Lots of bang for the buck. Searched for months for a good sounding electric acoustic which sounded as good unplugged as it did plugged in. This was one of the best I found. I especially love the rich bass tones this guitar puts out. The fretboard is easy too. There was another Martin model I liked also, but it was an extra $1000, it's bass was not as rich; but it have a better pickup. Played 3 different DCX1E models in same store, this one sounded much better than the other two. Only had this guitar for a month, seems pretty good. My only wish is for this guitar to be louder when unplugged. The B string seems to buzz a little bit, hopefully this is an easy fix.
