A real sleeper Martin

This guitar has really surprised me. Originally intended as a stage only guitar it is earning equal time with me beloved D18 GE, and holds its own with a wonderful tone and super easy playability. The woods are very high grade and the finish is flawless, a very pretty guitar without overboard bling. The bargain of the current Martin lineup, a D41 with a cutaway and Aura system for a grand less than it should be......get one ebfore MArtin figures it out!

Nice Cutaway

This guitar saunds and performs great. the Aura system and onboard tuner make it convenient for live playing. The inlay and finsih are indicitave of far more expensive Martins. The neck on mine needed a slight adjustment to correct the relief. Considering the cost, I dont think it's possible to find anything better.

DC Aura

This is a great guitar. I had a Taylor 810 (1988) model before, and wanted to improve the sound I got while being amplified. The Aura system is all that. Has a really fat sound, very satisfying, and it just rings out, very punchy. It is good for lead or rhythm. The guitar has very nice appointments, especially with the black headstock and ebony tuning knobs. The cutaway helps with the up the neck playing. I run it with a Toneworks AX10, and some of the combos are really interesting. Played straight through a PA, this thing really kicks out a great acoustic sound as well. I wish the neck were a bit thinner, but that is my only beef. This is a good one.

DC-16RTGE Aura

As an intermediate player I was looking to upgrade to a high quality, name brand guitar on budget and found this gem. I love the on-board tuner and its amazing how the body illuminates the sound when she is perfectly in tune. I had an opportunity to plug-in at a couple of gigs and the Fishman electronics sound simply awesome. I had my last guitar for 30 years. I'm not letting go of this one. Be sure to check out the Martin Owner's Club too for great, low cost perks. I am impressed with the guitar and the customer service from both Martin and the Guitar Center.

Where do I start?.

Where do I start? Well balanced with a lower tone quality. Soft to the touch. The ARUA system gives you so many tone qualities, I'm always finding new sounds! I use this for writing and on stage. I feel like we are one! Was not my first acoustic but will be my last! And of course, it's a Martin! pete provost
