A guitar you can feel good about with the big 12-string sound you want.

The D12X1 represents a fine example Martin's commitment to preserving the earth's dwindling resources and designing guitars that are within reach of every aspiring guitarist. Constructed with a combination of highly compressed wood fibers (high-pressure laminate, HPL) and traditional tonewoods, the D12X1 has the "famous" Martin sound and playability found in their more expensive guitars

Holy cow!

When I saw this guitar, I thought that it was nothing special. I mean, the looks are not that great, just a natural spruce with rosewood sides and back, right? WRONG!! The sound is what this 12-string is all about. IT is amazing. I played it, then looked at the price, expecting something in the $1500+ range. when I saw that it was a third of that, I almost fell over. I rarely see a martin guitar for less than $799, so this was a real treat. I compared this to another 12-string beside it that was twice the price, and this martin one hands down, no questions. I want to buy this guitar as soon as I can. Buy it, you won't regret it. Having played one and knowing how good it sounds, I would buy one sight unseen. I rarely do that with acoustic instruments.

Bad bracing

I purchased my martin about 10 months ago, well the bacing went bad and I had to dump it. Love th sound and feel I don't like the quality you get what you pay for so spend the money a buy the more expensive martin.

12 string review

I was looking for a good guitar at a reasonable price. Boy did I get a deal ! I mean I know it's not real wood . I tried out about 5 others before I decided I would be able to get the same full sounding guitar for the price .

Just Amazing

When I first was just looking around one of the new guitar centers that had just been built I just was messing around not even looking for a new guitar. As I was looking for another one to play I saw a twelve string guitar(never played a twelve string before) I picked it up and started playing it and it was awsome. Then I went to get another more expensive 12 string and it was not even close and that happened many times.
