Exoensive and worth it!

Costly? Yes it is. Worth it? absolutely. Smart purchase? Consider this...most 12 string guitars are produced on long scale, 25.4. This guitar is produced short scale 24.9, which means as your guitar gets older with regular use, the chances of the bridge pulling off the top are far less that that of a long scale, 25.4 instrument, which has greater tension. This is something to think about when cost of repairs is "up there".

Martin D12-28 12-String Dreadnought Guitar

Well Ill start by saying that it is a good guitar, and has an amazing sound and tone. However, Martin is doing it again. The majority of your money is going into the name. When I played it I thought it was a great one, but then the price shot me down and my love for it seemed to go away. For those that have the money, Get It!! but for the rest of us, keep looking.

What? It's not a real Martin?!

The good: The Martin name. Who doesn't like that?! It sound great, feels great, plays great. The bad: Who knows about the long-term durability...I wish it had a pickup, but hey... Overall: Great. You can't beat a 12-string that says Martin on the headstock for this price.
