Best bang for the bucks

I tried out a number of Martin guitars - custom-35, D-15 Mahagony, D-16 GT, D-18, DM, DR, D-16 R, and decided to take a chance and get this one special ordered - sight unseen. Wow, was I blown away by not only the looks and quality craftsmanship, but the sound is to die for! Took it to my first jam and EVERYONE there kept commenting on the wonderful, full sound - booming bass and clear, bright trebles. Have taken it to several more different jams, and I keep getting the same comments. Everyone wants to try it out and keep making the same comments about it. Had bought a DM, but after a week decided to trade up to the D-16RGT. I don't have a single regret!

My first GOOD acoustic

I have been playing for 30 years on a classical, Celebebrity acoustic and early 70's Tele. This is my first good acoustic - and it has not disappointed. The tone and sustain is great, as is the responsive to both soft and loud playing. The action was a bit high from the factory so I removed and sanded the saddle at small increments to get the action where I wanted it. Made a huge difference in both chording and lead playing. I LOVE this guitar...

Great Acoustic

i just picked this guitar up from guitar center during their labor day sale and i was blown away. i played all types of taylors, martins, and gibsons and this one was the best for the price. there are many guitars that are $5000 and up and they have the same tone as this. just a heads up, make sure you tune a guitar before you decide to buy it because when i first picked up this guitar i was not happy with it then i tuned it and it was like night and day. i strongly recommend this guitar

Great Guitar better price

Tried the mmv,d-28,d35,d16,d18.I wont lie to you the d-28 sounded the best with this d16rgt being a close 2nd I can tell you the d28 wasn't worth the G note more then this guitar. Build quality is superb. sound is deffinetly that martin sound.Great job with micarta fretboard i was skeptical about this But i almost feel that its faster and have learned to love it. If your on the fence come down from there already and buy it cause it frickin rocks.
