Exceptional tone, exciting playability and classic Martin good looks.

The Martin 00015M Acoustic Guitar looks like it came right out of the history books and it delivers a sound for the ages. In its 175-year history, Martin has set more guitar design trends than can be counted. The company still embraces design techniques introduced many years ago to create their guitars' timeless tone.

The Martin 00015M offers a perfect blend of vintage features and modern technology to create an acoustic guitar of exceptional tone, playability and classic Martin good looks. Back, sides and top are bookmatched solid genuine mahogany with A-frame Sitka Spruce X-bracing and a traditional maple bridge-plate. The 14-fret neck-also genuine mahogany-is joined with an East Indian rosewood fingerboard and headplate. The traditional rosewood belly-bridge is fitted with a bone saddle, and the nut is fashioned from bone as well.

The Martin 000-15M is embellished with a dark mahogany stain and a satin lacquer finish. The end result is a guitar of beauty and simplicity with a warm, rich mahogany voice. Includes case.

I've played a lot of really good acoustic guitars. I own Taylors, Martins, Ibanez, Godin. The folks at GC know me for coming back and trading when I find that the sound or the feel just isn't right. I'm picky and when you spend good money, you should be especially for something you love doing. This beauty is simple. The size is perfect. The sound rich, old, classic and sooo very smooth. No flash, all substance. I first played this at the Martin Factory in Nazareth, PA a month or so ago. They have a room where you can play all of the high end guitars. I could not put this down among ones 4 times more expensive. I had just bought the D15M a week earlier and was loving it. The choice was difficult at first but, the dreadnought went back and I got this instead. It is the first I pick up every day and lately the only. This will never go back. This is like coming home.

  • Incredible 000 Martin

As reviewed by steve Bryant on 11/9/2012

Although it's rare that you could own a pre 1940 Martin, this little gem delivers. Since I saw Eric Clapton on unplugged, I always wanted to own a Martin 000. I went to the local guitar store and played both the spruce and mahogany, and I gotta say the mahogany is the way to go. Incredible lows and rich highs makes this one THE guitar I go to when playing. I bought a Taylor 414ce at the same time and no doubt Martin has the truest neck of any guitar I've ever played. It holds a tune after weeks of not playing, while the Taylor always needs a tweak and they sit side by side. If you like fingerpicking, then this ones for you. Other guitars, like the Taylor sound incredible plugged in and flatpicking, but this one will help you write songs, and it only sounds better over time. Best of luck in you're choice!

  • Great Guitar

As reviewed by Nicole Ferris on 5/2/2014

I spent about 4 hours trying different guitars: Taylor, Ibanez, Breedlove, Gibson, Yamaha and many others, but none of them delivered like this Martin. When I first picked this guitar up, it felt and fit so right. For me, since I'm a woman, it's harder for me to find a small body guitar that gives the same tone as a larger, fuller guitar. The other guitars that I tried were either too uncomfortable for me to play or size wise fine but the tone was not great. This little Martin changed it all. It has a great sound to it, and the all mahogany build really benefits the guitar. I've owned this guitar for a little over two months now, which I know is not long, but Martin has not failed to impress. I play it every day and find it so hard to put down. Great quality for a smaller body, great sound, great look, great feel - what more do you need?
