Overview

For full-on performance, the Marshall 100W MG100HCFX head will let you perform like a pro while going easy on your pocket. This impressive head is the pinnacle of the MG range.

Its front panel features are the same as the MGs from MG50CFX upwards, combining tried-and-tested solid-state tonal circuitry with awesome digital FX.

The MG100HCFX's incredible selection of FX is switchable using Marshall's revolutionary Stompware footswitching technology developed originally for the JVM Series amps.

One of the reasons tube amps "feel" so good is the way the power stage interacts with speakers-allowing them to behave differently depending on the frequency being played. Most solid-state power stages don't do this and so feel "stiff" to the player. All MG power stages successfully simulate this desirable valve amp characteristic using Marshall's Frequency Dependent Dampening technology (FDD).

Comments about Marshall MG100HCFX 100W Head with MG412CF 4x12 Cab:

I use this amp at my apartment. I'm the neighbor that keeps everyone else awake, but I love it. It's not horrible for a budget Marshall. I always dreamed of having one so I took the opportunity to pick this up with a little liquor money. It has some slight delays in adjustments, and is a solid-state. I get creative and just use all kinds of alternatives settings to adjust the tone to my likings. It's no all-tube JCM, but it's a fun amp to have for a college student. Definitely plan on buying another Marshall for sure.

Comments about Marshall MG100HCFX 100W Head with MG412CF 4x12 Cab:

I bought this amp about a month ago and have not had any problems with it at all. I have a 2013 les paul special that I play through this amp. The both of them deliver exactly what I was looking for. I was a little disappointed to find out the amp head was made in Vietnam when the GC website said it was made in England. I went to GC about a week later after receiving the amp to order covers for it and was told Marshall does not make covers for this amp so I had to settle for covers for a different marshall amp. They are a little large for my amp head and cabinet but I guess is better than being too small. Still I give it five stars because the amp itself is very nice. Just as you would expect from Marshall. I would also like to mention that the GC staff at the Covina Ca. store were very professional.

after a few months after i bought this amp i sold it so i can buy a small crate amp at my local pawn shop
the crate sounds so much better than this marshall

Comments about Marshall MG100HCFX 100W Head with MG412CF 4x12 Cab:

Nice looking exterior and good wire management. The 100W /head has several effects and tap delay configurations that will have you creating sounds from heaven to hell...
The 4X12 Cab gives you the punch to take that creativity and turn it into a sound wave of your very own.
The features I like the best is that I comes w/ a foot pedal. I also like the reverse delay sound you can make. The damper feature is killer and the 2 different reverb options you can play with.
I also like the price I paid and felt that this was a good deal. This is my first Marshall and I am very Impressed coming from a long time line6 heritage.
Also would like to add that the GC off Anderson in Austin is the best one out of the 3 located in the surrounding Austin area.
