This a great amp for the price! I had been playing a Fender Hot rod Deluxe but when I moved from where I was playing it was to big and too loud. So I got this amp. It has the effects built in (Before I was using a BOSS ME-70) so I don't have to have that in the new much smaller room. So far I have had it almost a week, nothing has gone wrong and every thing seems to be very well build for an amp of this price. The sound the amp has is very decent. I have a Les Paul I hook it up to and I can really get it rocking even on low volume. Don't get me wrong though this amp can be loud. Overall I love the amp!

I bought this amp a few days ago and overall it's an ok amp but when I tried to use a multi-effects pedal it started whistling at a high pitch at me. And for some reason when I first turn on the amp and then shut it off it has a weirdly loud booming sound. I also can't hear the delay too well either. But this amp has a pretty good clean channel to it though. Most of the effects aren't too bad at all. And for some reason it seems to work better with humbucker pickups rather than single coil pickups.

Great Practice Amp

By Charles Tucker

from Charleston, SC

Comments about Marshall MG Series MG15CFX 15W 1x8 Guitar Combo Amp:

I bought this amp to use in my apartment complex because it handles lower volumes much better than my Fender Frontman 212R. I mainly use the clean tones on this amp in conjunction with pedals for distortion, reverb, delay, and other effects, though the amp itself has some pretty cool effects (chorus, phaser, flanger, delay, and octave) along with 4 different drive choices. All in all a very solid 15 w amp.

Great Little Amp

Comments about Marshall MG Series MG15CFX 15W 1x8 Guitar Combo Amp:

I needed to replace my little Fender practice amp and chose this little Marshall. It's been perfect for the job and the tone is just awesome. Love the little built in effects which give some great creative options in a little amp without having to pack around a bunch of pedals. And of course---It's a Marshall, so enough said. Great little amp for when I just can't or don't want to fire up or pack around my big Marshall DSL40 Tube amp. Love it!!

Really nice amp.

Comments about Marshall MG Series MG15CFX 15W 1x8 Guitar Combo Amp:

I demo'd a guitar(epiphone explorer gt) in the store with this amp purchased the guitar and went back a week later and purchased the amp because the 2 worked so well together. I was using a Peavey blazer 158 with a digitech death metal pedal and planned on purchasing more pedals(chorus, overdrive) to get the sound i was looking for, but this amp saved me alot of money, this package came with everything i wanted plus more. It has clean and crunch button, 2 overdrive button, gain, bass, middle, treble, reverb, 4 fx, fx volume and master volume. I sold my peavey and the pedal collects dust now its nothing but amp, i use od2 and chorus and tweak the rest to give me the sound i want. If i could do it again i would pay the extra $50 for the 30W. Only con is this amp doesent like pedals i tried 2 and did not like the results.

Perfect Practice Amp

By EDUARDO

from Sylmar California

Comments about Marshall MG Series MG15CFX 15W 1x8 Guitar Combo Amp:

I love this amp! It's a perfect practice amp and good for small events. I used to have a 120W Crate amp that weighed like a ton, but this amp is very light weight and portable. It has a very clean warm sound, I use it with my Epiphone Limited Edition 1966 SG Pro. It sounds amazing! The effects sound very good and I'm very happy with this amp.

Comments about Marshall MG Series MG15CFX 15W 1x8 Guitar Combo Amp:

I've owned many combo amps in my day, and this Marshall combo is great! I love the on-board effects, and has a nice distortion sound. I mainly use it for playing clean/blues sound. The only hang up I have, is it doesnt have a 1/4" output to run through a cabinet. Not looking to run it through a 4/12 cabinet or anything crazy like that, but if I could run it through a 1/12 or even a 1/10 Marshall cabinet, I would be in love!! Overall, I would recommend it for practice, small gigs, or just jamming out. Its got a Mp3 input to jam along with songs. Love the chorus sound it puts out. I run Fender guitars through it, I have a Strat and a '62 Jaguar that sounds beautiful through it.

Comments about Marshall MG Series MG15CFX 15W 1x8 Guitar Combo Amp:

This is a great amp. I have been playing guitar since high school (which was ages ago) and am not very good. I pick up my PRS everyday though just to make some sounds. True Marshall fans will cringe when they read this but I actually bought this Marshall for the clean channel - which is picture perfect. I have a P22 - I never heard the piezo (excuse spelling) pickup like that before. It is like I have a brand new guitar. But rest assured - the Crunch and OD channels will not disappoint (true Marshall stuff!). I have had a little VOX tube amp for the last 3 yrs because "tubes sound better" - but this Marshall sounds best and they should be charging more for it.

I've been using this amp for about a week now and obsolutely lovs it. He different channels all sound great along with the different effects.
The amp sounds great when ou have the volume high or really low which is super nice for playing at home and not annoying other people. The option to plug in an mp3 or any audio source is amazing, this allows you to play a song like a backing track while you play at the same time, using this option with headphones is a lifesaver when it comes to playing at night so you don't wake anyone up.

                  Pros:
                  Great sound
                  Very portable
                  Effects sound great

My original amp was a Fender frontman. It never sounded right over the couple months I've had it. I did research and came up with this to be a perfect practice amp and for small setting performances. Always knew the quality of a Marshall and this is exactly what I was looking for.

Comments about Marshall MG Series MG15CFX 15W 1x8 Guitar Combo Amp:

I bought this so I had a solid state again, nothing to fancy or high priced and for anytime use. It is all that, I tried the 30 watt version and it works great as well but this is the little portable powerhouse for living room use in a small apartment. At bedroom levels and pushing it a little it has great tone, it's kind of a hybrid of a basic amp and modeling so it is like others that are easy to use, it may not have a tone of features but you can get a lot out of it, practice all day, jam with another guitarist or bassist or both and keep the levels even and your fine or go solo. The one thing you have to know is it is not going to sound amazing, it has great clean a nice crunch and the first overdrive has a lot of power but overdrive 2 is were the sound falls a little short. I think it has to do with your guitar, I have an Ibanez Gio that's 200 bucks and you can hear feedback and some noise but a high end pickup changes that and gives it more push through the channel. All and all it's not a bad amp but gain and volume levels are were you have to adjust for presets. That's the only downside, switching between channels can make you have to readjust gain and volume levels but other than that the effects are easy to use and the rest of the amp doesn't have any problems. Like I said it's a everyday jamming amp.
